About ISIA

The Iowa Self-Insurers Association (ISIA) was formed in 2009 by a group of self-insured employers concerned about workers’ compensation law in Iowa. Its intention is to have a dedicated lobbyist at the Capitol. The purpose of ISIA is the following:

=

To promote and protect the interests of self-insured employers in the state of Iowa

=

To maintain an active interest in Iowa workers’ compensation law and its administration at the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commission

=

To keep members informed of pending legislation, changes in the law, regulations, trends, and significant court and agency decisions affecting self-insured employers in Iowa

=

To provide self-insured representation at various hearings and conferences pertaining to the operations, administration, and effects of the law

=

To cooperate with organizations that have similar interests

=

To provide a forum in which its members can develop greater expertise in the self-insurance of workers’ compensation and its related risks
